Random Thought #8

We're all trapped in physical bodies on a pale blue dot floating in the vast space of nothingness. Systems built to keep us occupied and distracted from our insignificance and loneliness.
Self-absorbed sentient speckles of dust surviving for the sake of survival; which all ends with good old cliched Death. An elaborate cosmic joke. What a grand design indeed. A purposeless grand design. BRAVA!

  1. Somehow you found the right words to my thoughts. The thought came randomly to you, and I randomly chanced upon your blog, finally to end up feeling like a full-circle. So does randomness have something to do in giving us completeness?

    1. Yes, it comes into a full-circle. The thing about circles is they don't end. This infinite cycle will continue. Have you ever had a long lasting sense completeness? I am caught in the cycle of deconstruction and reconstruction of the self. Random chances come up, serve their purpose for that moment and they vaporize. This one is a painful thought it is always there but I refuse to dive into it, cause if i do i'd have to shake everyone on the street and tell them to wake up. Pardon my gibber if i am not making sense, i'm a little groggy here.

Ann

She cried again last night. As usual I had nothing to say but pat her to sleep. Almost two and a half years of continued weeping at night. Shouldering the burden of soothing a 7-year-old, what wisdom does a 10-year-old have to bring it to a stop. Lying next to me, sharing a single bed “Akka, where is mommy?”, the same question asked repeatedly, drowned only by the whir of the fan keeping us cool on  sweltering summer nights.   Looking at her this morning, you would never know the existence of her nightly griefs. Grandma held her hand whilst we both waited for our 6 a.m. school bus. Her short curly hair, dark blue primary pinafore, white shoes, slouching under the weight of her school bag pregnant with heavy textbooks, she looks so ordinary. Or maybe not, we both were unusually skinny and scrawny. Something we have constantly been made fun of at school; a few more years later down the line when we both approached puberty the bullying is only made worse for being flat ches...

Death is earthly.

Six feet under, Tear stained soil, White lilies, A requiem mass. Carpet of grass, Pregnant clouds, A gentle drizzle, Footsteps fading, Branches swaying. Tranquil. Misted with sympathy, The breeze sighs patiently, The songbird sings a glum melody, "Memento mori, memento mori." "Death is the end of your story." Many a dawn, Many a dusk, Daisies pushed, A banquet of maggots, A feast of flesh, Stripped to bones, Naked. The earth nourished, The earth flourished. Death is mercy. Death is earthly. For dust thou art, Unto dust thou shalt return. GrymmRipper. :]
